White Space

when at last sane purchase
obscures as it torches
for you, they say this sings
all evidence to the contrary
settles down into my position
preposition to the stars
complete with lyric demands
that has to be done
this is illegible theater
swank brewery on the left side
catching my lost bandmates
this entrance not for everybody
corpsed in historical scenes
found work in signs of gods

Work for Shoulders

For Beta

smear this dozen pastels
for hundred unique spasms
i could shoulder this
a new motive
without room to rehearse
toward costumed machines
where we found true events
lie in language barriers
get in, lazy
often first things to learn
what kings, what land, what calls
holy, holy overtures, a gratitude
natives make into southern islands
all for trade, say good trade

Sven and Olga and a Little Bit of Me

Thanks for all the fish. – Douglas Adams

when a child myself still
left for swedish mom and pop
posttraumatic children with hard candy
love with bears like it was coastal
it was our halcion days with pink pills
and this was our memorandum
we did not think betrayal
and story went for story
acid pumped from our systems
felonious purchases and misnamed
trust in the time of mistaken identity
our loose grips and golf course geese
canned responses we have today
turn over in burned out cars
