Public

I had a night in which everything was revealed to me.
How can I speak again?
- Sarah Kane

the trains kept crashing
for something to do in this world
exposed by fluorescent fixtures
professional, but annoyed
in our working models
we habitually forget
through public installations
i am red cellophane
sticking to the night floor
come to foil a diabolical scheme
to withhold music
for its global ironies
or car conversations
the truth in these scenes
