Rule of Three

eveybody has a little light under the sun- PFunk

through this blizzard of color
paper is the taboo
& wrecks are personal affairs
in after hours proposals
where slight sound drops
during donation drives
as seventh day mixologists
that switch in dark cues
to use the old names
as sources to navigate by
land animals of hard times
drive this puppet contest
so not even one moment
passes all these years

Something’s Bound to Happen

between the cow and the donkey
this third bell literary figure quibbles
one hour amtrak in indian summers
we wire for professionals
that chuckle in translated pins
instant messengers of end times
stop us on headphoned commutes
if you can’t see it, then it ain’t magic
once i built a railroad & made it run
here in the accidental darkness
in streets that open new media
with soft spotted human projectors
all we can do is what we are taught
& consult online encyclopedias

last poem

For kari edwards

I am the remembrance of the world’s record- k.e.

there are horns in this uncomfortable
tonight tasks with me in my emails
silence, it is true, unjust word
with only a rocky pass to jeep
i think it was judy garland on tape
now what surgical heart tells says
‘you’re not fooling me’
fortune teller of how many families
not in the stars, but in the reading
out of fire pits, unearthed mother of souls
5,000 years if these rebirthed voices
do not go still this is victory
answer with succession of peace
as if life was the question

i just found out that kari passed on Saturday December 2, 2006.
kari was a true and couragous freind, noble spirit and brilliant artist and poet.
Sie will be missed dearly.
