He Doesn’t Speak for Us

it has come to this
broad street claims its sons
boot & rally a past unflinching
two for one-eyed cars
like new snow on the 64th st. rink
that sleepwalking fragment
of souls who pray for enemies
either way you lean what becomes
chose or you’re in no global position
between us & a lemonade stand
apart from lines of sycamore
injury is more often a dream
who knows bastards are terrorists
as some options may have changed
